1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all mobile and on-site detailing services provided by SID Detailing, trading as SID Detailing UK (“we”, “our”, “us”).
By booking or receiving our services, you (“the Client”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services
We provide professional automotive detailing and cleaning services, including but not limited to: exterior and interior detailing, paint correction, polishing, ceramic coating, engine bay cleaning, and related mobile services as described on our official website and service materials.
3. Booking and Payment
3.1. All bookings must be confirmed through our booking system, by phone, or by email.
3.2. A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking.
3.3. The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.4. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any booking due to weather conditions, access restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances.
4. Client Responsibilities
4.1. You must ensure the vehicle is accessible, with sufficient space, lighting, and water or power supply if required.
4.2. You must inform us in advance of any known paintwork issues, previous repairs, protective films, wraps, ceramic coatings, resprays, or the use of non-original materials that may affect the detailing process.
4.3. You are responsible for removing all personal belongings and valuables from the vehicle before the service begins.
4.4. SID Detailing will not be held liable for loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle.
5. Chemical Reactions and Vehicle Condition Disclaimer
5.1. While we use high-quality, industry-approved cleaning and detailing products, every vehicle’s paint, interior material, or surface may react differently due to factors such as age, prior repairs, resprays, coatings, or exposure history.
5.2. We accept no liability for any unexpected reaction, damage, fading, or discolouration if the client has not informed us about prior paintwork, coatings, films, or modifications.
5.3. Any defect, damage, or deterioration resulting from pre-existing conditions is not the responsibility of SID Detailing.
5.4. We are not liable for failure or malfunction of electronic or mechanical vehicle components during or after cleaning, where such issues are pre-existing or unrelated to the detailing process.
6. Inspection and Liability
6.1. Upon completion, the client must inspect the vehicle and raise any concerns immediately.
6.2. If you are not present at completion, our photo documentation shall serve as proof of service quality and vehicle condition.
6.3. SID Detailing’s total liability for any claim, loss, or damage shall not exceed the total amount paid for the service in question.
6.4. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.
7. Weather and Environmental Conditions
7.1. Mobile detailing services may be affected by weather conditions. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel appointments when it is unsafe or impractical to perform the service.
7.2. We will offer an alternative date or location in such cases.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
8.1. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be rescheduled free of charge.
8.2. Deposits are non-refundable unless cancellation is made by SID Detailing.
8.3. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or failure to present the vehicle will result in loss of deposit and may incur a call-out fee.
9. Warranties and Guarantees
9.1. SID Detailing provides workmanship warranties where applicable, such as for ceramic coatings, as specified in your service agreement.
9.2. Any guarantee is void if the vehicle is improperly maintained, cleaned with harsh chemicals, or not cared for according to aftercare instructions.
9.3. Normal wear, environmental exposure, and misuse are not covered.
10. Photographs, Videos, and Marketing Use
10.1. During or after service, SID Detailing may take photographs and video recordings of the vehicle for quality assurance, training, and marketing purposes.
10.2. Such media may be used on our website, social media platforms, promotional materials, and digital advertising to showcase our work.
10.3. We will never publicly share identifiable personal information such as registration plates, customer faces, or home addresses without your explicit consent.
10.4. If you do not wish your vehicle to appear in our promotional content, you must notify us in writing before the service begins.
10.5. By default, without such notification, you grant SID Detailing a royalty-free, perpetual, and non-exclusive right to use such media for promotional purposes.
11. Data Protection
We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data collected during bookings will be used only for service provision, communication, and lawful marketing purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service or allowing SID Detailing to perform work on your vehicle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
